Does Dry Skin Really Help With Acne?

In our war against oily skin and the acne it causes, some of us go too far and dry out our skin to such an extent that it becomes prone to more acne.

Did that statement confuse you? Well, let us explain…

Just like oily skin can cause acne, lack of moisture from your skin can make it sensitive to breakouts.

Delving deeper…

The soaps, facial cleansers and the medications that we use to prevent acne contain harsh detergents and chemicals act as irritants and make your skin more prone to acne causing bacteria.

How to deal with acne and dry skin?

The answer to that is simple: Moisturize.

But before you dab your skin with moisturizer, it is important that you keep the following points in mind:

1.Choose a moisturizer and NOT a cream

2.Do not pick a moisturizer which has irritants like acetone, alcohol. Propylene glycol, formaldehyde and other complex chemicals

3.Instead pick one that is rich in green tea, Aloe Vera, vitamin e, natural oils, vitamin C or Vitamin B3

4.The best time to apply a moisturizer is right after you shower!

Incorporate these simple steps into your skin care routine and there is nothing that can stop you from getting acne free nourished skin!
